One of our favorite things to do here at Integrity is take photos with our iPhones, use vintage apps to fancy them up and then post them to Instagram. Being in the print industry ourselves, we are always looking for new ways to print things. Instagram photos are one of those items that can be very hard to find a easy to use and quality printing source. The photos are proportional in size, so they are not your standard 5×7, 6×9, 8×10, etc. Luckily we found a couple of apps that help with this and that will print your Instagram photos in all their beautiful glory.

PostalPix

PostalPix is strictly an App for the iPhone. It allows you to print the photos that are stored on your phone in various sizes (4×6, 4×4, 8×10 and Mousepad). The 4×4 is the important size in this case for the Instagram photos.  There are not a lot of online services that offer proportional sizes to print to. With Postalpix you can easily choose the photos you’d like to be printed, choose the size and then pay right from your phone. The photos are then shipped to the address in which you set up your account with. It’s so simple. This is the best tool out there for basic Instagram photo printing.

Postagram

Postagram is both on the iphone and Android. It allows you not only to print photos from Instagram, but Facebook as well. This service prints and ships a Postcard with a personalized message to anyone you would like. Here is what you get with Postagram:

• Glossy photo printed at 300-dpi.
• Customizable message.
• Removable bezel: just pop the photo out.
• Access to all your Instagram & Facebook photos.

I have yet to use this service, but I soon will be. Not only is it a cool idea, but the fact that the photo pops out of the postcard allows your family and friends to always have it instead of throwing it away.

After you have your photos printed, hang them in your home or office in creative ways. It’s hard to find frames for the size photo that Instagram offers, so have fun with it!
