If you can’t afford great web design, here’s Plan B

Use WordPress and buy a Premium WordPress theme.

It’s not a new concept, just one that I still think people outside of the design industry don’t know about. There are so many great designers out there producing great WordPress themes that are affordable. If you don’t have $5,000 for a new website, why not spend $35 on a theme that looks outstanding? Implementing these themes takes little to no coding experience. If you know WordPress, then you can handle it. If you need a teacher, well then call us (shameless plug).

Usually we don’t condone using WordPress themes as your primary source for design. You should always have a custom site built if you can afford it, but if you need something that looks great on a small budget, this is the way to go. There are design firms out there who only use pre-designed WordPress themes and sell them as their own for thousands of dollars. Avoid them. There is no need to pay that much money for something they didn’t even do and takes little to no set-up.

While you’re at it, you may as well choose a Responsive WordPress Theme. What does that mean? That means the way the website looks will change based on the device you are viewing it with. If you’re looking at the website on an iPad or iPhone, the design will adjust in a way to fit on that size screen while still being functional. Here is an example.

With that said, here are the best places to get Premium WordPress themes that will upgrade your company’s website and make it look like you paid thousands for it.

 1. Theme Forest

2. Mojo Themes

3. Elegant Themes

4. Theme Trust

We hope this opens your eyes a little bit to having a great website on a budget. If you need help with setting these up, we have the knowledge and experience to help you without making you pay thousands of dollars for it.
