Here at Integrity Marketing, printing is our first love. It’s what we know best. So me personally, being a graphic designer, when I come across a cool poster, I can admire the creativity of it. Not to mention I’d rather support a designers artwork than head to a department store and pick up something that everyone has.

A great resource to find handmade posters created by artists is Fab.com. If you don’t have an account there yet you’re missing out. Go there now. Sign up. Go!

Ok, back to the task at hand. I’ve found two resources that have the most amazing movie and concert posters. And a third website with a local Indianapolis favorite. We’ll get to that last.

First off is Minimal Movie Posters

This is a Tumblr blog that posts Minimal versions of popular movie posters recreated by artists. There is no great way to describe it. It’s best just to take 20 minutes out of your day and scroll through them. They are fantastic. Some of them have links to purchase. Browse and Enjoy!

Second is Gig Posters

Gig Posters is a giant database of concert posters from a variety of artists. Type in a city, or band or venue and you’ll see all of the concert posters related to that topic. Concert posters are a great resource for awesome art. Head there now!

NapLab

For all of you Indianapolis folks, here is a great local poster by the guys at NapLab. This very large poster shows all of the neighborhoods of Indianapolis in a very cool, minimal, typograohic style. Here is a small blurb from there website:

The Neighborhoods of Indianapolis 2011 map is the culmination of two years of research and design. Using every public resource we could find, including city records, community documents, local experts, and the internet, we have illustrated the neighborhoods of Indianapolis on a 46″ x 48″ poster.

I have this poster hanging in my house. It can be a bit of a pain to have framed, but get creative with it and save some money! I laminated mine and mounted it on foam core. They are on sale at NapLab for just $35. Head There!
